Certificate II and Certificate III Courses are work based training courses. This means the participant must first be employed as a Trainee (Cert II) or as an Apprentice (Cert III) and must be registered with the Department of Education & Training to be eligible to enroll in these programs.

Entry level training programs such as Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate II Courses are advertised twice per year, usually in January and July. These are approximately six months in duration and include extensive work-based training.

Work experience in an industry environment is a key component of a Pre-Apprenticeship Course

The Pre-Apprenticeship course will prepare the participant for the world of work with specific skills relevant to automotive trade areas. Competencies achieved during these courses are credited on articulation into an Apprenticeship or Traineeship.

This type of program is highly recommended for those who are considering a career in the automotive industry. Further information can be obtained by contacting the General Administration Office where a qualified staff member will handle your query.

The above Training Programs are funded by the Western Australian Department of Training and Workforce Development.
