Industry Partnerships

MITA have also, in partnership with the Ford Motor Company of Australia Ltd., developed a Ford-specific Training Centre to facilitate Ford's training needs in Western Australia relative to Apprentice and Technician training.

This Centre is the second only in the world outside of Ford ownership and the first in Australia, the other being located in a suburb of Madrid, Spain. Long term planning is that this centre will be able to provide training facilities for all brands in the Ford Truste Marque group.

As one would imagine, this is breaking new ground in automotive training with cutting edge technology being applied in practical training and the capability to receive live training broadcasts via satellite technology from the Ford Factory in Melbourne.

This highlights the technological advances in the automotive industry in recent years and is evidence of the technology still to come. It is part of what makes this such a dynamic, diverse and exciting industry, one that can offer a variety of career opportunities.
